Job summary

Ascension's Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Inpatient Pharmacy on rotating shifts in a full-time role. Join a Catholic health system renowned for service and growth.

Qualifications

• Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure or internship is required.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacist by accurately preparing, compounding, and distributing medications.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, automated dispensing systems, and supply logistics to ensure availability.
• Act as patient advocate coordinating benefit investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Support the Pharmacist by accurately preparing, compounding, and distributing specialty medications to ensure continuity of patient care and safety.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, automated dispensing systems, and supply logistics to maintain medication availability and prevent potential drug shortages.
• Serve as a patient advocate and liaison, actively coordinating benefit investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance to ensure prompt medication access.
• Collaborate with the care team to prepare patient education materials and perform advanced technical duties, including monitoring regulatory compliance.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy intern would be acceptable in lieu of.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
