How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Optimize therapeutic outcomes by reviewing and assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, and dispensing of all medication orders to prevent and resolve potential drug-related problems.
  • Serve as a clinical consultant, providing comprehensive drug information, education, and effective counseling to medical staff and patients to facilitate informed care decisions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to recommend appropriate formulary alternatives and communicate necessary adjustments to facilitate continuous, high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee and mentor technical personnel and pharmacy students in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications, ensuring high standards in quality and safety.
  • Prepare and accurately dispense compounded medications to ensure the safe and precise delivery of patient-specific therapies.
What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
