Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Senior in York, PA. You will perform ADLs, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility, feed patients, and support RN-led care in a busy hospital unit.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, IV insertion, simple dressings, restraint checks, and data entry in the medical record. Requires a high school diploma or GED and relevant healthcare experience; CPR/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
• Experience or training in patient care tasks is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by department.

Responsibilities

• Support for ADLs: bathing, feeding, mobility, toileting; transport patients.
• Assist with call lights, meals, and routine hospital tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and assist in unit activities under RN supervision.
• Transports patients and prepares/ delivers supplies as needed.
