UPMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in providing essential care to patients. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and support therapies under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and clear communication within the health care team, with duties expanding to include phlebotomy, bladder scans, and patient transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Provides patient care including assisting with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Assists with physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies.
• Reports changes in patient status to RN.

Responsabilités

• Assists with UPMC nursing core assistant responsibilities including ADLs and vital signs.
• Performs blood glucose, weights, I&O, specimen collections and Foley care.
• Establishes professional relationships and communicates with health care team.
