Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver compassionate, hands-on patient care across units. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient condition, and support RN with procedures. You may perform phlebotomy, EKG, Foley care, and other tasks as needed.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Adherence to policies and ongoing learning are expected.

Qualifications

• Performs core nursing assistant duties including ADLs and patient care.
• Experience with blood glucose, vital signs, I&O, and specimen collection.
• Ability to perform point of care testing and basic procedures such as 12-lead EKG and Foley care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to RN.
• Document in medical records as per procedures.
• Maintain safety and adhere to hospital policies.
