Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician in Danville, PA to support RN-led care on Advanced Acute Care Units. You will perform ADLs, take vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with daily unit operations under supervision.

Responsibilities include timely task performance, reliable attendance, and strong teamwork with excellent communication to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a safe care environment. On-site, full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and punctual with strong attendance.
• Ability to work as part of a care team with clear communication.
• Willingness to perform ADL assistance and basic nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary facilitator of ADLs: hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals.
• Take vital signs and daily weights.
• Conduct Point of Care testing and assist with patient care tasks.
• Turn and reposition patients and perform daily equipment checks.
• Assist with dressing, Foley/IV removal, and suctioning as directed.
• Document care provided and communicate changes to licensed staff.
