Geisinger is seeking a highly motivated Patient Care Technician to deliver high-quality patient care on the Advanced Acute Care Units. The role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and teamwork to support the care team and ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Schedule features three 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm–7:30am) with every other weekend and holiday. No prior experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide enhanced patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse, including dressing care and removal of Foley catheter and peripheral IV.
• Document in the medical record and report changes in patient condition to licensed personnel.
• Obtain and maintain specimens and perform point-of-care testing with quality control.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient safety watch as assigned.
• Coordinate transportation of patients for tests and schedule tests and consults.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and other clerical duties as needed.
