Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the HFAM6 Advanced Acute Care Orthopedics Unit in Danville, PA. The role involves assisting with ADLs, monitoring vitals, and supporting the care team under RN supervision. On-the-job training is provided and the ACE Nursing Model aims for enhanced collaboration and care delivery.

Schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts with some weekends/holidays. No prior experience required; program supports RN/LPN pathways.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and strong attendance are essential daily.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with the care team.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and grow with the ACE Nursing Model.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities of daily living (ADLs): hygiene, mobility, meals.
• Monitor vital signs and daily weights; perform point of care testing.
• Assist with patient safety and documentation; support RN and unit operations.
