Job summary

Geisinger in Danville, PA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the HFAM6 Advanced Acute Care Orthopedics Unit. The role supports RN colleagues by providing essential patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with ADLs across a busy unit.

No nursing license is required and on-the-job training is provided. Expect a three 12-hour day schedule with benefits and career growth within Geisinger's ACE Nursing Model of Care.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, punctual with strong attendance.
• Ability to work in a collaborative care team and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to learn ACE Nursing Model of Care and assist on Orthopedics unit.
• No nursing license required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, meals).
• Record vital signs and daily weights; document in medical record.
• Perform Point of Care testing and equipment checks.
• Assist in turning/repositioning patients and monitoring safety.
• Support patient transport and coordination of tests and meals.
