Job summary

Charles River is seeking a skilled necropsy professional in Horsham, PA to independently perform necropsy procedures and generate toxicity study data. You will mentor less experienced staff and contribute to SOP revisions, inspections, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications include 2+ years necropsy experience, HT/HTL (ASCP) preferred, and a chemistry of teamwork and precise data recording. Bachelor's in a biological science is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a biological science preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years necropsy, post-mortem, or autopsy lab experience.
• Certification/Licensure: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) preferred.
• Other: Must work well in a team and document data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform specialized necropsy procedures and tissue collection.
• Cross-train in other pathology areas or lab departments as needed.
• Review lab documents for accuracy and compliance with SOPs/GLPs.
• Prepare responses to audits and deviations.
• Perform method development experiments and troubleshoot challenges.
• Train staff in specialized techniques and start-up procedures.
