The Veterans Health Administration in Baltimore seeks a Medical Support Assistant to provide administrative support for clinical services, manage patient check-ins, schedule and coordinate appointments, and explain visit steps to Veterans.

You will use Vet Link, CTB, CTM, and EHR tools to track appointments, ensure timely encounters, and assist Veterans with eligibility, travel, and pre-registration.

Qualificações

• Experience as an MSA or equivalent administrative patient support role in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of MSA practices and VA patient flow processes.
• Ability to use VA systems and manage clinic schedules.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule appointments in accordance with VHA directives; handle cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows.
• Route patients for examinations and ensure electronic check-in and demographic accuracy.
• Explain upcoming appointments to Veterans and guide them on pre-appointment steps.
• Monitor reports and ensure timely encounters and dispositioning for clinics.
