Job summary

The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) - GS-0679-06 - serves as a key administrative member of the Patient Aligned Care Team and other interdisciplinary clinics - including Specialty - Surgery - Compensation and Pension - Call Center - Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) - and the Community Living Center.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for federal employment.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in medical office scheduling or clinic coordination.
• Ability to work with multiple clinics and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across clinics.
• Manage and route My HealtheVet messages and referrals.
• Assist with patient data entry and documentation in CPRS/VistA.
• Provide front-line customer service and information to patients and families.
