The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Advanced Medical Support Assistant to provide essential administrative support within Primary Care. This role involves scheduling, data management, and collaboration with healthcare teams to enhance the well-being of Veterans. The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (MSA) position serves as the advanced Clerk for all Medical Support Assistants (MSA) and is a foundational role within Primary Care. The Advanced MSA provides administrative support and works collaboratively with the patient aligned care teams (PACT), which include physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and other second-tier team members.

Grade Determinations
To qualify for GS-06, candidates must have one year of experience equivalent to GS-5, which includes scheduling, appointment management, verifying demographics, processing transfers, and basic eligibility and coverage requirements.
