Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering or related hands‑on manufacturing experience.
• Experience with tooling/fixturing design is a plus.
• Travel 10–15%.
• Typical work hours 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Mon–Fri.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing tooling, fixtures, jigs, weld fixtures, and aids for new product launches.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to provide DFM and DFA feedback.
• Support prototype, pilot, and production builds; identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Specify, justify, and support the purchase of new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, and validation on the production floor.
• Work with suppliers, integrators, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure proper setup and compliance.
• Develop and document fabrication and weld processes, including weld sequencing, fixturing, and work instructions.
• Support weld process qualification and troubleshooting (MIG, TIG, fixtured weldments, etc.).
• Partner with quality teams on weld inspections, defect reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Support daily production by addressing tooling, equipment, and process-related issues.
• Participate in lean and continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Assist with PFMEAs, control plans, and standard work documentation.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
