Job summary

Milwaukee Tool, based in Wisconsin, seeks an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality activities across product support, value engineering, and new product development teams. You will direct supplier quality, process improvements, and test development to meet time-to-market, cost, and performance goals.

Responsibilities include translating customer needs into product requirements, benchmarking designs, and executing validation tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related work experience in Advanced Quality, Quality Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Critical thinker, able to evaluate and identify risks in the early product development cycle and able drive projects to mitigate those risks.
• Ability to travel 25% (includes both domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the project team lead for the Quality and Reliability function while supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Marketing to translate customer needs into product requirements and specifications.
• Support the product design process including benchmarking and testing of concepts & prototypes.
• Develop and execute test procedures to validate product specifications and ensure Quality and Reliability readiness.
• Lead Risk Assessments (Design and Manufacturing) during the product development cycle.
• Perform failure analysis and recommend solutions with corrective action, as required.
• Proactively seek out quality improvements for new and existing products.
• Work with global quality teams to develop QC mitigation strategies for high risk specifications.
