Job summary

Generac is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform emergency, routine and preventive maintenance on production and building equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and PLC systems and coordinate with vendors as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment or automation. Strong problem-solving and safety compliance are essential, with 5S and documentation of PMs and work orders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment, automation or product repair.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics, and interpreting drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO and NEC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and service of production lines within the facility.
• Mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repair.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of production line equipment.
• Seasonal external facility maintenance.
• Small engine repair.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and building schematics.
• Miscellaneous facility maintenance as needed.
• Replacement of broken or outdated building mechanicals, lighting or fixtures.
• Email and phone conversations with vendors.
• Ordering parts and materials.
• Maintenance of 5S program.
• Maintaining compliance with training programs.
• Maintenance and system entry of PMs and work orders.
