Job summary

Akelius Real Estate Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform advanced repairs and diagnostics across residential properties. The role requires in-depth knowledge of building systems, independent troubleshooting, and strict safety adherence.

You will handle carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction tasks while maintaining effective communication with property management.

Qualifications

• Five to ten+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in semi-skilled and skilled repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction.
• Knowledge of electrical, energy management, mechanical, HVAC, card access control, alarm, and security camera systems.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance repairs and diagnostics across residential properties.
• Explain job scope to others and support team operations.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and complete reports for apartments, common areas, and building systems.
• Complete and close out assigned work orders within the specified time frame.
• Update work orders as status changes.
• Complete preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Keep inventory of all supplies and equipment and communicate with manager when materials are needed.
• Report on-site incidents to the property manager.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
