Job summary

AKAM seeks a Maintenance Technician to join on a temporary, full-time basis. The role covers building maintenance, safety, and appearance across a community, Tue-Wed rotation and a Wed-Sun schedule from 8:30am to 4:30pm; off Mon-Tue. A self-starter with HOA/property experience will thrive here.

Responsibilities include HVAC/plumbing/electrical tasks, inspections, log keeping, and event setup. Strong tooling, communication, and English skills are required; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential maintenance or HOA/multifamily properties.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and provide own tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.
• English speaking; Spanish a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and grounds.
• Inspect property and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Respond to work orders and service requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain and repair equipment in common areas and exterior grounds.
• Set up/break down for community events as needed.
• Provide on-call emergency support on a rotating basis.
