Job summary

Jobtailor in Des Moines is seeking a skilled utility locator to identify, locate, and mark utilities within a defined scope. You will apply observational and deductive reasoning to map all underground assets and ensure accuracy.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year private locating experience or 2 years public locating, familiarity with CAD/GIS/MicroStation, and readiness for after-hours work and occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of private locating experience with a demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail or 2 years of public locating experience with exposure to multiple utility types
• Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus
• Candidates must be able to pass a 'fit to work' physical examination
• Over time, after-hours work and be available for some overnight travel
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain a professional and positive attitude.
