Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an observer with strong locating skills to identify, locate, and mark utilities within a designated scope. The role requires marking facilities of all types and ownership, including sewer, electric, abandoned sites, and chemical transport routes.

Candidates should bring troubleshooting abilities, a willingness to learn new procedures, and a professional, positive demeanor for varying utility projects. Some overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of private locating experience or 2 years of public locating experience.
• Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.
• Must pass a fit to work physical examination.
• Over time, after-hours work and some overnight travel may be required.
• Detail-oriented with a professional and positive attitude.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of private locating experience with a demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail or 2 years of public locating experience with exposure to multiple utility types
• Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus
• Candidates must be able to pass a ‘fit to work’ physical examination
• Over time, after-hours work and be available for some overnight travel
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain a professional and positive attitude
