Job summary

Jobtailor in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced underground utilities locator. You will locate, mark, and document underground utilities with safety and accuracy, using GPS, CAD and field sketches.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year locating experience, are able to travel and work outdoors in varying weather, and can commit to overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year locate experience.
• Must be able to travel.
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.

• You will be responsible for the correct, safe and efficient locating of underground utilities.


• Taking time to thoroughly research and investigate all underground utilities in an area, properly marking the location, completing the necessary paperwork and documenting each location.


• Documentation can consist of electronic field sketching, GPS and Data Collection.


• This is a full-time position, overtime will be required.


• Ideal candidates will have advanced locating experience with all utilities, a demonstrated commitment to quality, and attention to detail.


• Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.
