Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician IV to join our operations & maintenance team in the United States. This contingent role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and rapid response to work orders in a large industrial environment including clean rooms.

The ideal candidate will diagnose and repair HVAC, compressors, chillers, pumps, conveyors, and related systems, perform electrical/mechanical maintenance, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Five years of maintenance experience in Industrial HVAC/Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair or Automotive Repair.
• Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 feet or higher.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, compressors, chillers, conveyors, robotic systems, pumps, and other facility equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical/mechanical systems including 480V control systems.
• Operates CMMS for preventive maintenance scheduling and work order tracking.
• Performs safety tasks including lockout/tagout, PPE adherence, and hazard analysis.
• Welds, fabricates, and performs plumbing; reinspects equipment to identify potential failures.
• Interacts with customers and provides feedback on service orders while maintaining code and regulatory compliance.
