Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly advanced General Maintenance Technician V to join our manufacturing maintenance team. This contingent role supports responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on facility systems in a large industrial environment including clean rooms.

The position requires diagnosing and repairing equipment such as HVAC, compressors, chillers, robotics, pumps, and conveyors, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to codes.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience performing mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment or equivalent.
• Strong electrical skill set with experience in control systems and 480V.
• Experience with HVAC, compressors, chillers, conveyors, and cranes in production settings.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform maintenance following safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC machinery, cooling systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication per CMMS schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues and control systems.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and follow safe rigging practices.
• Provide timely service updates to customers and improve equipment performance.
