Job summary

Motion is seeking a Control Panel Builder II (Service Technician II) to wire and assemble industrial control panels in accordance with the UL508A Standard. Responsibilities include reading schematics, assembling electro-mechanical components, and testing circuits.

Strong teamwork and safety awareness are required. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of shop experience and the ability to operate shop equipment safely, with typical duties including documentation and collaboration with Engineering

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3–5 years of shop experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble / install industrial control panels using hand and power tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics and recognize components.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical components with interconnected wiring.
  • Cut, strip, bend and mount wires to connect electrical components within the control panel.
  • Document modifications or as-built conditions on drawings.
  • Test continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
  • Work with low voltage electricity and electrical components.
  • Work with Engineering staff to help improve quality and efficiency.
  • General manufacturing and assembly duties when shop work is not available.
