Job summary

Motion offers a role as a Control Panel Builder I (Service Technician I) responsible for wiring and assembling industrial control panels per UL508A standards. You will work from blueprints and schematics, install electro-mechanical components, and test circuits, with opportunities to collaborate with engineering for quality improvements.

The position requires basic shop experience, ability to read schematics, strong communication, and safe operation of shop equipment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of shop experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Assemble / install industrial control panels using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics and recognize components.
• Assemble electro-mechanical components with interconnected wiring.
• Cut, strip, bend and mount wires to connect electrical components within the control panel.
• Document modifications or as-built conditions on drawings.
• Test continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
• Work with low voltage electricity and electrical components.
• Work with Engineering staff to help improve quality and efficiency.
• General manufacturing and assembly duties when panel shop work unavailable.
