Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in Virginia is seeking a Control Panel Builder II (Service Technician II) to wire and assemble industrial control panels in accordance with UL508A standards. The role involves reading blueprints, wiring interconnects, and testing circuit continuity, with collaboration with Engineering to improve quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include assembling panels with hand and power tools, documenting modifications, and performing general manufacturing tasks when panel work

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of shop experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install industrial control panels using hand and power tools.
• Read blueprints and schematics and identify components.
• Assemble electro-mechanical components with interconnected wiring.
• Connect wires by cutting, stripping, bending, and mounting to electrical components within the panel.
• Document modifications or as-built conditions on drawings.
• Test continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
• Work with low voltage electricity and electrical components.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve quality and efficiency.
• General manufacturing and assembly duties when panel shop work isn’t available.
