Job summary

Motion is seeking a Control Panel Builder I (Service Technician I) to assemble and wire industrial control panels in accordance with UL508A standards. You will read blueprints, install electro-mechanical components, and test circuits in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of shop experience, with overtime and weekend work possible. Applies to Rochester, NY area with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Ability to read schematics and interpret blueprints.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and safe operation of shop equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble / install industrial control panels using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics; recognize components.
• Assemble electro-mechanical components with interconnected wiring.
• Test continuity of circuits and work with low voltage components.
• Document modifications or as-built conditions on drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering staff to improve quality and efficiency.
• Perform general manufacturing/assembly duties when shop work is unavailable.
