Job summary

BELFOR USA Group, Inc is seeking a General Estimator to create and manage residential, commercial, and industrial estimates using Xactimate. You will meet clients, develop quality estimates, and manage work through completion across a large regional area.

Responsibilities include building sketches in Xactimate Sketch, applying local code knowledge, and adhering to BELFOR standards while controlling budgets. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Construction, Restoration or Contents Estimating.
• Residential estimating experience >$50,000; Commercial >$100,000.
• BELFOR Estimating Platform Level 2 certification.
• Advanced Xactimate training with score 90% or higher.
• English literacy and fluency.
• Understanding of MSDS data sheets and applicability to jobs.
• Use of BELFOR Estimate Format Standards for estimates, proposals, etc.
• Extensive customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; good telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-sketches with multi-levels and/or roof sketches with accuracy.
• Create accurate scopes with minimal over/under scopes.
• Create floor plans and roof sketches in Xactimate Sketch.
• Apply knowledge of local building codes.
• Adhere to budgets and address overages.
• Use BELFOR naming convention for estimates, proposals and change orders.
• Maintain construction schedules and coordinate with trades and management.
• Demonstrate proficiency with decontamination and mitigation techniques.
• Participate in BELFOR University training and earn required certifications.
• Independently manage own work and maintain vehicle safety.
