Job summary

BELFOR USA Group, Inc is seeking a General Estimator to create and manage estimates for residential, commercial and industrial loss projects, using Xactimate and BELFOR standards. You will meet with clients, develop quality estimates, manage work through completion, review budgets and communicate progress to clients and management, with exposure to large loss, regional and national clients.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with codes,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Construction, Restoration or Contents Estimating.
• Residential estimating above $50,000 and Commercial above $100,000.
• BELFOR Estimating Platform Level 2 certification completed.
• Advanced Xactimate training for Level 3 certification with around 90% score.
• English literacy and fluency.
• MSDS data sheets understanding and job applicability.
• Familiar with BELFOR estimate formats for proposals and reports.
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-sketches with multi-levels and/or roof sketches with accuracy.
• Create accurate scopes with few over/under scopes.
• Sketch floor plans and multi-level/roof layouts in Xactimate.
• Apply working knowledge of local building codes.
• Develop budgets and address overages as they arise.
• Use BELFOR naming conventions for estimates, proposals, etc.
• Maintain construction schedule and coordinate with trades.
• Demonstrate decontamination and restoration techniques.
• Participate in BELFOR University training for certifications.
• Independently manage own work and timelines.
• Maintain vehicle safety and reporting procedures.
• Complete incident reporting forms promptly.
• Exhibit strong analytical and communication skills.
