Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Endoscopy Support Specialist to assist endoscopists during complex procedures and ensure equipment readiness.

The role requires 3 years of clinical experience, BLS certification, and proficiency with endoscopic procedures, with call coverage after 5 PM and on weekends; responsibilities include room prep, transport, and maintaining aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required with preferred health field education.
• 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification required.
• Experience with endoscopy support and sterile techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist endoscopist during complex procedures (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD).
• Set up cautery and prepare materials for interventional procedures.
• Transport items and supplies; prepare procedural suites.
• Provide endoscopic support for emergencies in OR/ICU/ER.
• Maintain, clean, and store endoscopic equipment per policy.
• Participate in research procedures and teaching cases.
• Provide availability for after-hours call coverage.
