Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge and ability to operate clinical equipment accurately.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience; ability to work under stress.
• Maintain BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the endoscopist during complex procedures (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD).
• Set up cautery settings for interventional procedures.
• Mix saline, dye, cyanoacrylate as needed for procedures.
• Provide endoscopic support for emergencies in OR, ICU, and ER.
• Operate AV equipment for teaching and recordkeeping.
• Prepare procedural suites and transport equipment and supplies.
• Communicate patient status and equipment needs to care team.
• Maintain endoscopic equipment and ensure proper sterilization and reprocessing.
