Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an Advanced Endoscopy Technician for our Endoscopy-Hosp department. You will assist in GI and pulmonary procedures, handle endoscopy equipment, and participate in training new staff in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

This full-time role supports a 4-10s day shift (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) with call responsibilities 6–8 shifts per month, including nights and weekends. SGNA and AAMI standards apply, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• BLS certification required; SGNA certification within 1 year in role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic procedures in accordance with policies.
• Handle, process, and turnover of endoscopy equipment and rooms.
• Maintain instrument and supply readiness for cases; update preference cards.
• Disinfect, sterilize, and store scopes; ensure universal precautions.
• Stay current with SGNA and AAMI standards and perform audits as needed.
• Assist with setup and positioning of equipment and patients in procedures rooms.
• Provide training and onboarding for new Endoscopy Technicians and students.
• Support department with administrative tasks as needed.
• Participate in call rotation and safety procedures including specimen handling and radiation safety.
