Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to support GI procedures and endoscope reprocessing in a dynamic clinical setting. Responsibilities include room prep, instrument handling, and assisting physicians and nurses during procedures.

This role requires strong English communication, patient care focus, and the ability to work a day shift with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification (or Instructor) is required at hire.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and work with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in general GI procedures, equipment and cleaning of endoscopes.
• Prepare for scheduled and emergent procedures and set up instruments.
• Assist in procedures and support the OR team with equipment troubleshooting.
• Work after hours and weekends as needed; participate in on-call rotations.
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to QA activities.
• Support daily unit operations and staff with supply management.
