Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva, NC is seeking an Advanced EMT to join our team on a rotating schedule with 24/72 or 12-hour shifts. The role focuses on providing advanced and basic life support in both emergency and non-emergency settings, with emphasis on teamwork and readiness.

You will respond to incidents, ensure equipment readiness, and participate in coverage planning. Minimum requirements include high school diploma, current Advanced EMT certification, and CPR training;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Current Advanced EMT Certification, National Registry preferred.
• One-year EMT experience preferred.
• CPR certification per AHA/ARC/ASHI/HSI.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls as part of the team.
• Provide advanced and basic life support to ill and injured.
• Ensure assigned unit is properly equipped, stocked, and prepared for single or multiple incidents.

Education

High School Diploma

Associate's degree or higher (preferred)

Current Advanced EMT Certification

National Registry Certification preferred

1-year EMT experience preferred

CPR (AHA/ARC/HSI)
