Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in North Carolina is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This PRN position involves 12-hour shifts, with holidays and weekends potentially required, in a busy ED with a 14-bed unit and 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.

You will perform assessments, implement nursing interventions, and document care while contributing to a high standard of patient care in a fast-paced environment. credentials include state RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS as required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• BLS certification due within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document medical necessity and care plans promptly.
• Complete and revise interdisciplinary care plans.
• Conduct timely QA assessments.
