Job summary

Celanese seeks an Advanced Specialist, Environmental, Health, and Safety for the Washington Works site in West Virginia. You will join a team responsible for Workplace Safety, Process Safety Management, Internal Auditing, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Fire Safety, and Emergency Response, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include maintaining OSHA/EPA/WVDEP compliance, auditing, compiling reports, coordinating audits, supporting injury

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent in SHE field.
• 1-3 years of hands-on SH&E experience (manufacturing, construction, or oil & gas).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team with diverse backgrounds.
• Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards.
• OSHA 10/30 hour certification.
• Proficient with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Cority.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, WVDEP, FDA, and internal policies.
• Maintain safety documentation, track safety KPIs, and prepare reports.
• Conduct internal EH&S audits with site leadership to drive improvements.
• Coordinate external audits and develop plans to resolve findings (PSM, Safety, IH, Fire, Electrical).
• Support injury and illness recordkeeping and case management.
• Assist with Process Safety Management elements and ISO 14001.
• Support site safety meetings and emergency response planning.
