Job summary

Halocarbon, LLC is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead and advance our site safety culture. You will implement and manage the EHS management systems, ensure life-safety compliance, and act as a change agent for safety across the plant.

You will deliver training, perform audits, and coordinate incident investigations while partnering with operations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; degree preferred.
• Industrial/manufacturing experience, chemical preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks and support life-safety permits.
• Provide feedback through spot checks, audits, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Maintain and audit Halocarbon's EHS management systems and training materials.
• Update policies and procedures; deliver EHS and emergency response training.
• Support incident investigations and ensure close-out communication.
• Lead site safety committees and ER/ Security drill coordination.
• Maintain PPE list and risk assessments; support IH programs.
• Develop hygiene plans and conduct sampling when required.
• Ensure compliance with life-safety systems and industry standards.
