Republic Services, Inc. in Delaware seeks a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking systems, engine, HVAC, suspension, and drive train.

You will support our drivers and keep critical fleet assets on the road. Under supervision, you will tackle daily challenges, receive training on new technologies, and work a stable, full-time schedule with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience on Classes 1-5 light/medium and heavy‑duty Classes 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• ASE certifications T1–T8 are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years in a technician role or recent automotive school graduation within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Aufgaben

• Maintains working knowledge of vehicle components and systems; perform preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on-road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies, control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Safely provides road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identifies source of malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
