Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, and drive train. You will work with state-of-the-art fleet, receive training in new technologies, and support drivers on routes in a stable, community-focused environment.

Role follows a Monday–Friday evening schedule (3:30 pm–1:30 am) with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with strong technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect/repair heavy truck systems with supervision in parts of the work.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking system repair/diagnostics.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diagnostics for fuel and emissions systems.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering work.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Electrical system troubleshooting with scan tools.
• Line welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunction sources using diagnostic tools.
• Complete company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
