Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company is seeking an experienced technician to perform advanced mechanical repairs and assembly on compact construction, aerial and allied equipment. The role requires troubleshooting with manuals and diagnostic equipment and hands-on use of power tools and hoists.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of work experience, including two years with CAT equipment, proficiency in multiple mechanical systems, and the ability to lift heavy parts and document repair

Qualifications

• Requires four years of work experience with at least two years with CAT equipment.
• Proficient in at least two mechanical systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics).
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced mechanical repairs and assembly on construction equipment.
• Troubleshoot using manuals and diagnostic equipment.
• Use lift trucks, overhead cranes, and hoists to move parts.
• Disassemble/reassemble parts; clean and test components.
• Inspect, perform preventative maintenance, and repair engines, powertrain, hydraulics and electrical components.
• Record repair activities on work orders and communicate findings to customers.
