Job summary

Qualifications

High school education or GED.
Four years of work experience with CAT equipment; proficient in two mechanical systems.
Ability to read repair manuals and parts diagrams; work safely.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced mechanical repairs and assembly on construction and aerial equipment.
Troubleshoot using manuals and diagnostic equipment.
Use lift devices and cranes to position parts for repair.
Utilize hand and power tools to disassemble/assemble components.
Refer to parts information and enter data into record systems.
Inspect, do preventative maintenance, and repair engines, power train, hydraulics, and electrical components.
Reprogram equipment controllers with computers.
Climb onto/under vehicles to access all parts; work safely with PPE.
Document repair activities on customer work orders.
