Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks an experienced field service technician to troubleshoot and repair construction equipment in the field. You will use manuals, parts diagrams and various tools to diagnose and service equipment, with lifting gear and cranes as needed.

The role requires multiple mechanical skills, the ability to climb and access vehicles, and a strong focus on safety and documentation of repairs in customer work orders.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Work Experience: Six years total with at least two years on Cat equipment or similar, proficient in two mechanical systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair and test parts/equipment in the field.
• Use manuals and diagrams to locate parts and perform repairs.
• Move parts with hoists, forklifts and overhead cranes and document work orders.
