SEARHC in Southeast Alaska is hiring a Clinical Assistant 2 to support rural ambulatory care operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and access to care. The role combines administrative duties, data management, and expanded clinical tasks under competency guidance.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, performing point-of-care testing, vital signs, specimen collection, nebulizer treatments, minor procedures, and assisting providers during visits and education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification is required; higher-level CMA is a plus.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Clinical competency must be achieved within 3 months and renewed every 3 years.

Responsabilités

• Obtains and records age-appropriate vital signs per protocol.
• Prepares for patient visits by reviewing charts and needed forms.
• Performs basic clinical tasks and POCT under supervision.
• Assists with minor procedures and nebulizer treatments.
• Ensures accurate documentation and charting of care.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and lab areas.
