Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Patient Advanced Certified Medical Assistant to work under the primary care operations team, collaborating with providers to deliver safe, timely, effective, and patient-centered care in line with Mercy standards. The role requires completing MA competencies, attending the MA Clinic Academy, and maintaining CMA certification.

You will help close care gaps, perform medication reconciliation, and support patient experience conversations in a busy clinic setting in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred; must maintain certification or transition to MA title.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Mercy Primary Care Providers to deliver safe, timely, patient-centered care.
• Drive quality outcomes for patients as part of the clinical care team.
• Attend MA Clinic Academy training and complete MA competencies to qualify for Advanced Certified MA.
• Perform Advanced Standard Rooming with ≥90% achievement over the last 6 months (AWV, documentation).
• Conduct thorough Medication Reconciliation and close open care gaps (Fall Risk, Depression, screenings).
• Perform BP rechecks and lead Patient Experience conversations.
