Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Certified Medical Assistant to support primary care teams in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. The role emphasizes collaboration with providers, adherence to Mercy Service Standards, and ongoing clinical excellence in an outpatient setting.

You will use EHR systems proficiently, perform rooming and care coordination tasks, and contribute to closing care gaps while maintaining a compassionate, professional approach tailored to diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Must actively maintain MA certification.
• BLS certification for hospital outpatient departments.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• One year of outpatient/ambulatory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of Mercy Primary Care Providers to deliver safe and patient-centered care.
• Partner with patients, providers, and the care team to drive quality outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficient use of EHR systems and accurate clinical documentation.
• Maintain ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Support varying patient populations with respect and empathy.
