Job summary

Actalent in Mason, OH is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the launch of advanced battery module manufacturing and pack assembly. You will perform battery assembly, wire bonding, electrical testing, inspection, and process verification in a high-precision environment.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, and collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure safe, high-quality production.

Qualifications

• 26+ years of hands-on technical experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing testing equipment and electronic test instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for precision assemblies and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electrical aptitude with electronics components and systems.
• Associates degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized work instructions and procedures to ensure consistent production.
• Maintain production records and traceability for quality compliance.
• Support continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Perform battery testing and validation of modules and packs.
• Record and document test results for traceability and quality standards.
• Identify abnormalities or issues during testing or production and elevate as needed.
• Assist with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of manufacturing and test equipment.
