Job summary

Actalent is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support Advanced Thermal Batteries manufacturing in Westminster, MD. The role focuses on the core battery assembly process, requiring close collaboration with Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Battery Design, and Maintenance to optimize processes and troubleshoot issues.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 3–5 years in engineering/manufacturing, with Six Sigma certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Engineering in a field related to the Process being supported, typically Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 3-5 years in engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Certification and practical use a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support core battery assembly process and manufacturing floor activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Battery Design Engineering, and Maintenance to improve processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure new products transition into production.
• Hands-on problem solving on the manufacturing floor to improve efficiency and quality.
