Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform complex and advanced assembly of products to established specifications. This on-site role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to work safely on the factory floor.

You will use kit carts, inspect with designated equipment, and may travel to other Bloom locations within Fremont.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalency diploma required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish cross-functional working relationships.
• Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing preferred.
• Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and SOPs to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
• Select proper materials from kit carts to complete standard work.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas and 5S principles.
• Use designated inspection equipment to inspect completed work.
• Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality; resolves any identified problems and alerts appropriate chain of command.
• Could be required to travel to other Bloom facilities within the Fremont locations.
• May be required to use pallet jack as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
