Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is seeking an Assembly Technician for an on-site role. You will perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications, select materials from kit carts, and use a range of machines and hand tools to complete tasks.

You will identify and implement continuous improvement ideas, apply 5S principles, inspect finished work with designated equipment, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and SOP comprehension.

We are looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Manufacturing Supervisor and is based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions


• Select proper materials from kit carts to complete standard work.


• Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas and 5S principles.


• Use designated inspection equipment to inspect completed work.


• Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.


• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality; resolves any identified problems and alerts appropriate chain of command.


• Could be required to travel to other Bloom facilities within the Fremont locations.


• May be required to use pallet jack as needed.


• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• High school or equivalency diploma required


• Prior manufacturing experienced preferred


• Basic computer skills


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.


• Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization


• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships


• Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing preferred.


• Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Requirements (optional)

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.


• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time.


• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed.


• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination


• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Salary Ranges

$21.91 - $31.53
