Job summary

Advanced Technology Group is seeking an experienced assembler to build custom equipment on site in Westminster, CO. You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and assemble using hand and power tools per BOM and drawings.

5-8 years of related experience is required with the ability to work flexible hours. Safety and quality are emphasized, and opportunities for process improvements are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must read blueprints and have basic knowledge/understanding of GD&T, including identifying and measuring surface finishes
• Must be flexible in work hours in accordance with project schedules
• Understands fully and complies with company and safety policies
• Ability to use all necessary hand tools, grinders, drills, saws, etc.
• Self-Motivated
• Ability to work in team environment building custom equipment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Assemble using hand and power tools per BOM and drawings.
• Modify parts using grinders, porta-powers to meet specs.
• Assist electrical assembly including installing conduit and wiring.
• Clean and passivate parts and assemblies.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs.
• Operate ladders, scaffolding, forklifts and hoists safely.
• Prepare parts for shipment and crate building.
• Suggest new equipment and methods to improve efficiency and safety.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
